We are excited to introduce the 2 foals our mares produced this year, both by Hollywood Hot Spot. First on the scene was JS Mucho Dinero (pending), barn name Cash, foaled March 25, a handsome black blanketed colt. He had a rocky start since his dam, JS Amazing Grace, didn't produce much milk, despite the best efforts of the vets at Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital, and didn't properly bond with him. He was a fighter though and came home to the farm after 10 days. We tried to get him a nurse mare, without success, so Lise hand raised him and he is thriving! Currently weaned from milk replacer, he leads, stands tied for grooming, trailers and is an all-around willing youngster. He's learned to cross our small creek and started jumping small logs in the pasture without concern. He will make an excellent athletic partner for a rider that wants to bring along their next jumper or event horse. JS Cappucino Royale (pending), barn name Cappy, arrived on April 15, without any of the drama that accompanied Cash's arrival. We plan to keep this filly to join the broodmare band in a few years' time.
