George has decided to sell his riding horse, JAS Long John Silver, aka "Bones", a registered Appaloosa gelding. Bones is a 2005 model - he had a couple of years of basic dressage but quickly went to George for trail riding because he has such an easy going disposition and was so steady and safe. He can be ridden by just about anyone- I've put my totally inexperienced brother-in-law on him for a trail ride in the winter, a friend that has been out of the saddle for years that has a bit of anxiety, and George has taken him out in the mountains on searches with the Gem County Sheriff's Posse after extended periods of not riding. I have also given Bones some ground driving sessions when George thought he wanted to learn to drive- we progressed up to driving with a manure cart bouncing behind, though not hitched to him. This video was taken on the second time I rode him this year- he hadn't been ridden in at least 8 months- without warm up. As you can see, he's not ridden on contact nor is he bending, but I can do anything on his back, such as pruning the arena-side shrubbery from the saddle as I'm doing in the video. Asking $10,000

This is JS Godiva, a 2014 filly by Vincent out of JAS That's Fancy, 1/2 TB Appaloosa sport horse. Godiva was RPSI inspected in September 2014 and approved. She is an intelligent filly, very quick with her lessons and has 3 lovely gaits. Godiva learned to lead, tie, stand for grooming and hoof handling, trailer, clip and bathe as a weanling, ahs had a little work in hand for this new video & will start longe and ground driving in 2017.Godiva has the potential to make a lovely dressage horse or jumper; we expect her to reach 15.3 hands or better. Asking $5500.
JAS Solid Citizen, aka "Solly", is a 16.1 hand black-bay 1998 registered Appaloosa gelding with plenty of miles left on him. He is sound, energetic, athletic and very responsive. Solly was a really late bloomer so his progress through the levels has been slow as a result, but he has worked entirely in a plain eggbutt snaffle and is currently schooling second level movements. He spent most of his career in dressage work, but was leased in summer 2014 (passed pre-lease vet check with flying colors) to a local pony clubber. He went to a few rallies and derbies, so there's room for other activities with him with the proper instruction. He has worked barefoot his entire life, with no soundness issues and is UTD on routine health care. He does well either in the pasture, where he is currently alpha of the 5 geldings, or in a stall with attached paddock, but would not do well as the only horse in your backyard; he is used to company. Not recommended for beginners or timid riders. Asking price $4000.
This sturdy gelding is JS Sugar Bear, a 2013 leopard model by the KWPN stallion Vincent out of the Appaloosa mare JAS Ice Princess, by Mighty Je'Taime. He's a mellow colt, very solidly built with a pleasant personality and willing mind. He's had all his baby basics and takes nicely to new things...a little bit of carrot will convince him that all is well. Sugar Bear has 3 nice gaits and a powerful engine behind, with his willing attitude he would be a super prospect for eventing, dressage or just about anything you have a mind to try. He competed in his first SHIH class at the 2015 Boise River show, scoring a 71 % asking $10,000.

JS Great Spot is a 2013 AWS & ApHC registered colt by Butterwap Confetti out of JAS About Time, daughter of JAS Rockin Robin. He is a bold individual, very quick in his lessons with excellent conformation. He shows superb potential with 3 lovely gaits and the inclination to jump as a weanling. He had his baby basics- he leads, ties, stands for grooming and hoof handling, trailers, clips and bathes. He just competed at his first USDF rated show in a SHIH class with a score of 68.4%, earning his permanent AWS papers Asking $15,000

Congratulations to Kim R of Washington on her purchase of JAS Anticipation!
JAS Hugs N Kisses, aka Freckles, is a 2008 15.2 hand registered ApHC mare by JAS Rockin Robin out of JAS That's Fancy. She started her under saddle work late (due to my knee surgery) but progressed nicely once she did with a little time in the fall of 2015. She had quite a bit more work in 2016, learning to yield to leg pressure, walk, trot and halt, with the start of canter work in the fall. She is responsive, willing and forward with 3 nice gaits and a lovely disposition. She has also done some free jumping, which she loves. Freckles would make a lovely dressage mount, hunter/jumper, or pony club horse given more saddle time. Asking $5500
JAS Benjamin is a 2008 5/8 Thoroughbred, registered Appaloosa gelding, by JAS Rockin Robin out of the Thoroughbred mare Dancing Christine, by Donut King. He has been slower to mature and I have been on the injured list a lot and so his training is a bit behind for his age. Benjamin had all the foal basics- leading, tying, standing for grooming and hoof handling, trailering, clipping and bathing. In 2013, when he'd matured enough both physically and mentally, he began a little longe work and some free jumping, which he loves. He jumps the chute both ways without hesitation or cueing, showing nice form and scope. He's just back in work this spring again, and he's matured more over the winter, more solid and steady. He's a bold individual and would make a nice eventer. Make offer.
